The remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. "We are massive fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years and we can't wait to play these new versions." In 2012, meanwhile, Rockstar decided to go it alone for Max Payne 3. Remedy will handle development on the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes using its proprietary Northlight engine, with Rockstar Games financing the project "in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production."
